Joining the Early Education and Child Care Special Interest Group

What is the Early Education and Child Care Special Interest Group (EECC-SIG)?

In order to join the Early Education and Child Care SIG, you need to first join the Council on Community Pediatrics. In order to join the Council on Community Pediatrics you need to either be an AAP member in good standing or a certified health professional who has an AAP Sponsor.

If you are an AAP member in good standing and would like to apply for the Council on Community Pediatrics online*, follow the steps below:

1) Go to www.aap.org

2) Click on Members Only Channel (box - upper right)

3) Enter your AAP ID number and birthdate or password

4) Scroll down and look left - click on Member Services

5) Click Online Council Membership Application OR download the Council Application

form for mailing purposes

6) Complete and submit

7) Contact Laura Aird at laird@aap.org to become a member of the Child Care Special Interest Group

*To complete a written application to be mailed to the AAP click here. Once you have become a member of the Council on Community Pediatrics contact Laura Aird to become a member of the Early Education and Child Care Special Interest Group.
