A majority of young children participate
in early education and child care programs. The
term, "early education and child care"
is used on this site because it emphasizes that
education occurs in all settings. High-quality
programs focus on improving child health and promoting
development and learning. As child care providers,
you play a key role in ensuring that your child
care programs are of high quality and offer safe,
healthy, and nurturing environments for young
children.
The links and resources offered below will help
you ensure that the care you provide is of the
highest quality possible.
